Vicki Moore Porretta (1944-2016) Age 72, passed away at home September 15, 2016, with her daughter Molly at her side. Vicki was born June 27, 1944, in Redwing, Minnesota to Rita and James Moore (KIA WWII). She moved to Burbank, California when she was 6 months old, where she was raised by her mother and step-father James Kehoe. She attended Villa Cabrini Academy and graduated in 1962. Vicki Moore Porretta (1944-2016) Age 72, passed away at home September 15, 2016, with her daughter Molly at her side. Vicki was born June 27, 1944, in Redwing, Minnesota to Rita and James Moore (KIA WWII). She moved to Burbank, California when she was 6 months old, where she was raised by her mother and step-father James Kehoe. She attended Villa Cabrini Academy and graduated in 1962. After high school, she went to Cosmetology school. She was a Cosmetologist for a few years, and then went to California State University Northridge where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education in May 1974. She worked for Burbank Unified School District for 30 years and retired in July 2005. Vicki loved teaching and was honored several times as Teacher of the Year. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Sal, they were married for 47 years when he passed away. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, bowling, camping, traveling, her time in Hawaii and playing the slots. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, positive attitude, and kind heart. She was the life of every event. Vicki is survived by her daughter, Molly; son in law Mike Serrao; granddaughter, Katie; grandson, Joey; brother Terry Kehoe; sister in law, Lois; and many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in her honor.
